Dear Neighbor,

If you’re ever in trouble, we are your neighbors who show up to help!

AVFRD is a 100% volunteer-run non-profit organization providing fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services to over 40,000 homes and businesses in the Ashburn area. These volunteers donated an estimated 100,000 hours of unpaid time this year alone. They staff fire trucks and ambulances (owned and maintained by AVFRD) at both Station 6 on Ashburn Road (also owned by AVFRD) and Station 22 in Lansdowne from 6pm to 6am every night.

Our service is inspired by our belief that when neighbors help neighbors, true community emerges and we become closer, stronger, and safer as a whole. Our volunteers are your neighbors – a diverse group of people from all walks of life who work together to serve you and the rest of our community.

Can we ask you to partner with us? The graphic below shows just some of the costs to fit out volunteers. Would you consider a one off gift, or perhaps even a recurring monthly donation?

We invite you to join in our mission of service to the Ashburn community. You can be part of our mission in one of three ways:

· Volunteer: Give your time and talents as a volunteer firefighter, EMT, or as part of our administrative/auxiliary team. No experience is necessary – we’ll provide all the training you need. Visit the following to learn more: https://ashburnfirerescue.org/volunteer

· Donate: We rely on the generosity of our neighbors to support the operations of the Department. Please con-sider a donation of $50, $150, $250 or more. Return the slip below with your tax-deductible check or visit the following to give online: https://ashburnfirerescue.org/go/donate

· Support: Let your elected officials know that you support a strong volunteer fire rescue presence in the county, not only because of the savings we drive but because having neighbors helping neighbors is critical to our safety and sense of community.

Your neighbors at AVFRD wish you Happy Holidays and a safe and healthy New Year. Rest assured, AVFRD will be there for you if you ever need us. Thank you in advance for supporting us. We are honored to serve you.
