Ashburn, VA – The Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department (AVFRD) is proud to announce that it was the benefactor of this year’s Digital Realty charity golf tournament, held on Monday, August 26th, at the beautiful 1757 Golf Club. This event provided a fantastic platform to showcase the vital work done by the dedicated volunteers at AVFRD and to express gratitude for their unwavering commitment to the community.
The tournament was a day of friendly competition, community spirit, and generous giving. AVFRD’s Chief Bill Graham and Assistant Chief Mike Walsh participated in the tournament, with Chief Graham’s foursome securing an impressive first-place finish.
“We are incredibly honored to have been chosen as the benefactor of this year’s tournament,” said Chief Bill Graham. “The funds raised will make a significant impact on our ability to continue serving the Ashburn community. The tournament was a tremendous success, raising a total of $89,500 for AVFRD. These funds will support the department’s ongoing efforts to provide fire protection, emergency medical services, and rescue operations to the Ashburn community.
