Nineteen members of the Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department reached a major milestone on Thursday, June 18, 2026, as they graduated during the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System (LC-CFRS) Graduation Ceremony held at Heritage High School.

These dedicated volunteers successfully completed rigorous Firefighter, EMT, and Advanced EMT training programs, representing hundreds of hours of classroom instruction, practical skills training, and unwavering commitment to serving the community. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the dedication they have shown throughout their training journey.

AVFRD also celebrated a special achievement during the ceremony. Out of 21 volunteers graduating from the county-wide 2026 Spring EMT Class, AVFRD’s own Haley Countryman was recognized as the Top Student, an honor awarded to the student who demonstrated exceptional academic performance, leadership, and dedication throughout the program. Congratulations, Haley, on this outstanding accomplishment!
