How fast can you and your team pull a 30,000-pound fire truck 40 feet?

Come and be part of the ultimate tug-of-war challenge! Join us for a fantastic team-building experience where you can showcase your strength, compete for prizes, and earn a medal and bragging rights. All of this is for a wonderful cause – supporting the Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. Bring your biggest fans to cheer you on during your pull; it’s excitement for all ages!

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE “TRUCK PULL EVENT” WILL BENEFIT THE ASHBURN VOLUNTEER FIRE AND RESCUE DEPARTMENT.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Team of 10 Participants – $250

The Team Captain will receive an email after the registration fee has been paid (below) with links to the Online Waiver Form and the team’s very own donation link to share with their friends, family, and co-workers.

AWARDS:

  • All team members receive a 0.012K Fire Engine Pull medal!
  • The First Place Trophy will be awarded to the team that pulls the 30,000-pound fire engine the fastest for a distance of 40′.
  • The Friends with Benefits Trophy will be awarded to the team with the most donations.
  • The Best Dressed Trophy will be awarded to the best-dressed team.

FIRE TRUCK PULL LOGISTICS

  • Teams must consist of at least five (5) adults; the maximum number of people on a team is 10 adults.
  • All team members must be 18 years or older and must have signed a waiver to compete.
  • Team members will face the engine and pull with their hands on the rope.
  • Plan ahead: The truck will be pulled by two ropes. Divide your team in half and name two captains.
  • Teams will launch every 7 minutes.
  • Teams must be checked in and in the pulling area 20 minutes before their scheduled time.
  • Teams will progress from In the Hole to On Deck to the Starting Line
  • Starting Line—The truck wheel is lined up with a temporary red paint line.
  • Start announcement: Timers Ready. Driver Ready. On Your Mark. HORN SOUNDS!
  • Team will start pulling when the horn sounds.
  • Three timers will be assigned to each pull; the official time will be the raw middle time. No averaging. In the event of a tie, a pull-off will result.
  • Finish Line—when the truck wheel crosses the temporary red paint finish line.

When you are done, head inside Lost Rhino Brewing Company for the AVFRD Chilly Days Chili Cook-Off and sample chili from 12 Loudoun County restaurants.  And vote for your favorite.
