Community Request Form<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Kids Safety Section<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Public Education Blog<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n General Safety Information:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has created a program called “Remembering When\u2122” to help education older adults and caregivers of older adults in fire and fall prevenation.\u00a0 According to the NFPA, “At age 65, older adults are twice as likely to be killed or injured by fires compared to the population at large. By age 75, that risk increases to three times that of the general population \u2014 and to four times by age 85.”<\/p>\n The\u00a0Remembering When\u2122 program was\u00a0<\/strong>developed by experts from national and local safety organizations as well as through focus group testing in high-fire-risk states.\u00a0 We have included links to various information from the NFPA website to help you stay safe!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
