Residents of The Magnolias at Leisure World sponsored a chili cook-off on February 10~ 2012~ with benefits going to AVFRD. Firefighter Heidi Wallner and Administrative Member Jerry Brown served as two of the four judges. Firefighter Ray Repage and his crew stopped by to chat with the residents.

August 16th, Ashburn's Truck 6 along with Leesburg's Truck 1 continued to honor those lost during 9/11. Both Trucks raised their Aerials to fly Old Glory while the procession rolled through on their way up to New York. Thanks to Andreas Maple for taking part of this great tradition. Units: Truck 6
