Give Choose is a 24-hour day of giving organized by the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties to benefit local charities serving our community.
This one-day event will begin at midnight on March 28th and will end at 11:59 p.m. In order to reach our goal for this event, we need your support by making a donation using the button below!
Funding is being requested by Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department to replace retiring Fire and Rescue Apparatus (Fire Trucks and Ambulances) as well as to support Recruitment and Retention of Firefighters, EMTs and Paramedics in an effort to continuing the professional services that we have been proud to provide to our community for almost 80 years.
About AVFRD
For almost 80 years, volunteers of the Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department (AVFRD) have freely given their time, talents and energy to provide the highest levels of fire and rescue service. We believe that when neighbors help neighbors, true community emerges, and we become closer, stronger, and safer. AVFRD is a 100% volunteer-run non-profit organization providing fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services to over 40,000 homes and businesses.
Our volunteers donated over 125,710 hours in 2022 to the Station 6 (Ashburn) and Station 22 (Lansdowne) communities. Last year, Station 6 ran 2,732 emergency calls and Station 22 ran 2,118 emergency calls.
