Help AVFRD Make the Rubber Meet the Road

The Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue vehicle fleet runs fire and EMS calls throughout Ashburn, Lansdowne and surrounding areas 24 hours a day – every day of the year.  Our apparatus have a combined 50 tires hitting the pavement. These 50 tires not only carry our dedicated members, they carry, you, your neighbors and family. The annual costs for replacing these tires, multiple times a year, is $50,000.

Your generous support with this campaign is essential in keeping the 50 tires on the road for communities in Ashburn, Lansdowne and Leesburg.

Help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 to cover the annual cost for tire maintenance and replacements.

Why Give?

Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization dedicated to serving the emergency service needs of our neighbors in Ashburn, Lansdowne, Broadlands, Leesburg, Sterling and surrounding areas.  The volunteer services of our dedicated firefighters, emergency medical providers and administrative members save you and your neighbors millions of dollars a year.  These savings translate directly into lower property taxes and lower cost emergency medical services.
While Loudoun County provides for a portion of our budget, a large portion of our funding comes from donations from our community.  We are dependent on our community to provide support so we can continue to deliver the highest quality of care, fast response times and reliable service.

Make a Difference

Your support will help us meet the needs of our neighbors.  AVFRD provides services to every facet of our diverse community, regardless of income, race, creed or affiliation.  Our dedicated volunteers may be the first face seen in a neighbor’s most desperate hour, and the aid that we provide is saving lives and protecting your homes.

The first step in responding to an emergency is rolling our apparatus out of our fire station.  Without tires, our vehicles would be useless, and our aid would not reach you or your neighbors when they call.

Heavy apparatus wear through tires quickly.  Every call that we respond to takes a little bit of life out of our tires – and with nearly 7000 calls responded to in 2016, we’ve driven many miles.

You can directly provide support for maintenance and replacement of the tires on our ambulances, fire engines and ladder trucks to keep us ready to respond to your call.
