Utility Vehicles

Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department’s Utility vehicles serve multiple functions for the department.  Units operate from Ashburn’s Station 6 .

Utility 606

Utility 606 is this 2020 Dodge Ram 2500. Utility 606 is used as a snowplow / salt spreader, and for various purposes at the station.

Utility 606

Utility 606B is a pickup truck that can have a plow attached.  Utility 606B played an important role in the Blizzard of 2016, clearing the way for our EMS and suppression vehicles to respond to the many calls run during the snow storm.

ATV 606

ATV 606 is a specially crafted John Deere Gator stationed at Station 6, conveniently located near the W&OD Trail. This unit is equipped with BLS medical gear, 2 water containers, and a stokes basket/backboard for patient handling and transport. With a capacity to accommodate 4 crew members and 1 patient, ATV 606 is ready for efficient response and assistance.

Chaplain 606

AVFRD Chaplains may respond in department-issued vehicles.  Chaplains respond to calls at all hours of the day and night to support patients, families and our crew members in their times of need.
